How do you apply that effect to your sketches? Do you use a filter?
I used to know how but that was a good 6 or 7 years ago. :/
Great job as usual, though. I really like the shading. Very simple and just enough to hold the "sketchiness" and not to overpower the picture.
I agree that her facial expression is powerful here. It's very somber. Even the body language conveys the overall feeling well. The heavy, subdued motion.
I know you don't like crits on commissioned work, but her forward foot doesn't seem very grounded. Given the powerful stuff going on everywhere else, though, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I'm not sure if the blushing help get across the expression you described, but it's a very nice face no matter how you slice it.
Great take on the lightsaber. I know I'm repeating, but you pulled off simple and expressive at the same time.
